Information on COVID-19 and coronavirus

SI DIAGNOSTICS IS OFFERING TWO TYPES OF RAPID COVID-19 AT HOME TESTS.

By performing the SARS-CoV-2 Antigen fast test you immediately know whether you are infected by coronavirus and/or can infect others. The SARS-CoV-2 Antibody test is informing you if you have been in contact with the coronavirus. Both test kits are ready to use and contain all materials to immediately perform a COVID-19 test yourself.

Saliva Antigen Test

Do you have symptoms of infection, just want to rule out or know for sure if you are infected with the coronavirus perform the saliva antigen test. Using Saliva is easy and painless and does not cause any discomfort.

First 2-9 days after symptoms appear.

This Antigen test is very reliable, namely >95% for Sensitivity (the percentage of true positive results among COVID-19 positive subjects) and 99% Specificity (the percentage of true negative test results among COVID-19 negative individuals).

Fingerstick Antibody Test

Do you want to know if you have been in contact with coronavirus. If you have symptoms of infection or have been in contact with somebody infected with the coronavirus, perform the antibody test and be sure.

From about 10 days after the first symptoms have appeared.

This test is characterized by a high accuracy with regard to the antibodies, namely >92% for Sensitivity (the percentage of true positive results among COVID-19 positive subjects) and 100% Specificity (the percentage of true negative test results among COVID-19 negative individuals).

Saliva Antigen Test

Advantage of Antigen Tests

  • An alternative diagnostic method for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19); faster and easier to implement than PCR.
  • High specificity and high sensitivity
  • The FDA has granted EUA for antigen tests that can identify SARS-CoV-2; it is used in Korea, USA, Colombia at the community level, outpatient clinics, hospitals, occupational medicine, etc.
  • Gene Science’s antigen tests have a buffer that inactivates the virus so can be used without a biosafety cabinet.
  • WHO Recommended the antigen tests

Intended uses
It is recommended for use in patients:

  • Ambulatory
  • Hospitals, Companies, Educational Centers, etc.
  • Occupational medicine
  • Places where PCR is not available

Use from day 1 to 11 of symptoms or 5-6 days after the alleged contagion
For use in the field or laboratories
A diagnostic method according to WHO and CDC
Ideal for people or groups that require frequent testing.

Viral Testing
Authorized assays for viral testing include those that detect SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid or antigen. Viral (nucleic acid or antigen) tests check samples from the
respiratory system (such as nasal or oral swabs or saliva) to determine whether an infection with SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, is present. Viral tests are recommended to diagnose acute infection of both symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals, to guide contact tracing, treatment options, and
isolation requirements Some tests are point-of-care tests, meaning results may be available at the testing site in less than an hour. Other tests must be sent to a laboratory, a process that may take at least 1-2 days.

From Relia Biotechnologies LTD.
Relia has been engaged in the manufacture of POCT immunochromatographic products for 19 years. We were established in the United States in 2001 and are currently manufacture in China. We have the registration certificate required by China and CE certificate. The COVID-19 IgM / IgG joint detection kit is produced using an immunochromatographic method. The development and production of this reagent occurred during the urgent period of China’s coronavirus outbreak. The R&D period was extremely short (within 1 month) as you may understand the reason. The mass manufacture and marketing took 3 weeks. Overall the product came out in a very short period of time. (compare with our other products, the overall time is 3-5 years.) For the product design: The ACE2 binding region (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein expressed by human embryonic kidney cells (HEK293) is used as a labeled antigen to ensure that the glycosylation of the recombinant antigen is closer to the actual state of the SARS-CoV-2 Spike Protein to keep the immunoassay will run with good performance.

Product advantages: (The purposes we designed this product)
Our product is fast and easy to operate. The result is about 15 minutes. It can be used for screening of a large number of people ( vs. nucleic acid detection >2 hours and complex operation) with visual observation. In order to prevent personal various in result reading, we can provide the Reader&Timer-this is an optional item to control the experiment accuracy with extra cost. Most of customers won’t pick the Reader&Timer because they just want the easy operation. The Reader has been on market over 10 years with CE.

Based on the detection of the two results of antibody IgG / IgM, our goals are:

  • Crowd screening and finding a certain percentage of recessive infections to further isolate and do therapy.
  • Supplementary testing for nucleic acid “empty window period” in infected populations. (See graph in PDF)
  • Can perform some joint screening such as body temperature, CBC, etc. before other urgent surgeries (e.g. the outbreak in one neurosurgery in China) or other important events. Etc.
